BUSINESS SUMMIT of the USAID Project “Investments for Business Resilience”

Maksym Zhytar, Member of the Board of the NGO International Scientific and Educational Platform “UPDATE”, took an active part in the BUSINESS SUMMIT of the USAID Project “Investments for Business Sustainability”, which took place on October 24, 2024. The event brought together leading experts in the fields of finance, banking, insurance, and business support.

One of the key topics was a presentation by Yuriy Heletii, Deputy Governor of the National Bank of Ukraine, who spoke about macroeconomic prospects and important aspects for strategic planning in wartime.

In the panel discussion “Opportunities for obtaining affordable financing for small and medium-sized businesses”, valuable knowledge was gained from the heads of such companies as Volodymyr Mudryi, Chairman of the Board of OTP Bank JSC, and Lyudmila Zolotareva, Chairman of the Board of Best Leasing LLC.

A presentation on war risk insurance for business attracted particular attention. The speakers were Igor Gordienko, Chairman of the Board of INGO Insurance Company, and Andriy Peretyazhko, Chairman of the Board of ARX Insurance Company, who shared practical advice on protecting investments and reducing financial risks in times of uncertainty, which provided important experience in understanding financial instruments in wartime.
